Below are some of the important documents in relation to Child Welfare & Protection
The GAA Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport has been designed and adopted for the benefit of all who are involved in our games and in other activities promoted at all levels of the Association. The purpose of this Code is to provide realistic and achievable guidance for all units of the G.A.A. in their work with children and young people.
The GAA promotes fair play and respect in our work with children and young people while recognising the need for their safety and welfare. This Code therefore places specific responsibilities on all sections, members and units of the Association to implement good practice when working with young people.
This GAA Code of Behaviour complements the ISC Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport and addresses the appropriate levels of behaviour, practice and conduct required from our young players, officials, coaches, trainers, mentors, supporters, parents/guardians and clubs.
